Yes, I think that even though it is sad the troops are over there, we've got to finish what we started. All ground we have made so far would be lost if we pulled out before the nation of Iraq was strong enough to uphold itself. I think we will be there for a long time.

No....it isn't mandatory. If Bush had the balls to enable our troops save on with a sensible set of "regulations of engagement" this mess should be over in 2 weeks or a lot less. Our troops are hindered by technique of the idiotic regulations of engagement better than entire troop numbers in usa.
