It's a sign that the baby has "dropped" , is head-down, and is getting ready for the big day. It isn't necessarily labour yet but a sign that things are headed that way. (no pun intended, :)) Good luck to you and your little one.

The discharge is probably the mucus plug. It usually falls out a day or two before diliverary.
The other sign of the baby dropping lower in the belly also signals impending birth. It's possible it's still a week away though.

That sound like it could be the start of something, The discharge might be the plug, so it can't be too long now, Time the gap between the pushes, if it's a regular time frame in between then it could well be it.
Good luck.

Yes, but dont go rushing into the labor room just yet. Your baby is getting ready to come out and see mommy. you may notice that your belly has dropped. you may stay like this for about a week or so. or you could go faster than that. call your doctors office and let them know about the changes that you have been experiancing.

Sounds like your mucus plug is coming out, and baby is moving into position. Of course being 40 weeks you know it won't be much longer now.
Good luck!!

The baby is engaging. A medical term for positioning itself down into the pelvis in preparation for delivery. You'll deliver soon. I wish you a speedy delivery and a happy health baby! God bless your family.
