how to resize images on myspace?

can anyone help me with this, im pretty new to myspace!!! i've downloaded the recomended programe to resize - irfanview. i open one of my pics in it and it come up huge, but then i don't know what to do to get it to the required myspace size (600k) thanks!

In Irfanview choose image>resize>then on the rightside look for some standard sizes such as 640x480 then use the button located above that reads Half..save the image on your computer then upload again and see if that helps
