I mean, it's been almost 6 years since 9/11, billions of dollars and thousands of soldiers' and innocents' lives gone to WASTE, 3 years since Saddam was caught and two weeks since he was hanged.
Still, no end to war is foreseeable in the near future.
(and no WMD's were found, in case you forgot)
Which logical argumants do you find in war?
or, to make things clear,
Why is the USA the terrorist's target? Do you think that simple ENVY can fuel this arms traffic and endless killing? DO you think that a person simply thinks "I hate democracy, I hate liberty, I hate America and will blow themselves up to kill GI's?

How much did taking Saddam down COST?
3,000 soldiers and more than 100,000 civilians?
Now, that sounds like a FAIR equation to me.
And BTW, why hasn't Osama been caught? Is "American Intelligence" starting to sound like an oxymoron?

Let me quote:
"and we're the terrorists target because they want to kill everyone who doesn't think like them."
I don't see anyone bombing Mexico City, Rome, Tokyo, Beijing, Cape Town or Sao Paulo.....
By your er...'logic'...does that mean the people in those cities actually 'think' like the terrorists, ergo they don't get bombed by them?

the United Nations. they should have done something about Saddam long ago instead of looking the other way during his food-for-oil sh*t.
and we're the terrorists target because they want to kill everyone who doesn't think like them.
let me break it down for you: they want us to convert to Islam or die. when they're preparing to blow themselves up, they're thinking that they're doing Allah's will and they will be rewarded in the afterlife because they're fighting for Allah. it has nothing to do with envy in any way that you can understand.
ETA: QUOTE: I don't see anyone bombing Mexico City, Rome, Tokyo, Beijing, Cape Town or Sao Paulo.....

their time will come, unless we stop this. i realize you won't believe me, but what about all the countries that ARE targets? what about the riots in France? Belgium? the Netherlands? what about the murders in Turkey? Thailand?
just because some terrorist a*shole didn't come out and claim responsibility doesn't mean that isn't who is responsible.
oh and i seriously doubt the terrorists would do anything to make Mexico mad at them. (they do, after all, share a border with us.) or the rest of Latin America. they can get too much money offa Chavez.
have you noticed, at the moment, we are the world's only superpower? if they can make us hurt, then they must be bad, huh. don't you think they would love the rest of the world to see them beat the mean old USA?

The USA is not the terrorist's target or at least it wasn't until we started messing with them. There can never be an end to the war. Every time we kill one of the leaders, it makes them a martyr and two more people are put in their place. The wars over there have been going on since Bible times. What makes us think we can put an end to it. We are not fighting terrorism or for America's freedom over there, we are fighting to keep our precious oil.
And why is it to do justice we have to become the bad guys. They are supposedly the bad guys for innocently killing our people and our women and children and then we go over there and do the same thing to them. So how does this make us high and mighty? How is our country better for doing the same thing and the bad guys?

the oil companies and the yuppie scum that drove them in. The military are merely a branch of the nation state which is in turn a branch of the yuppie scum that run the oil companies and corportations that determined the war.

the middle east is the last stronghold that stands against american imperialism. I think it will be a very boring world if the middle east falls and there are macdonalds everywhere.
the usa is the target because they are the economic power that determines all of the aggression toward the middle east - all other nations involved are followers

Saddam is to blame! I don't care if he was bluffing about
WMD. You bluff like that, someone is gonna call it! As for why we're the terrorists' target, it's because our culture is taking over the world. Look around. People are wearing Levis, drinking Coke, listening to Rock or Rap music, and English has become the language of international trade and the internet. Unlike Greek and Roman culture that were spread by military might, our culture is spread by our economic might. That's why they hate us. As Frank Zappa said, "Communism failed because people want to own stuff". The Islamo-fascists' world is going to implode because people want to be free! Free to determine their own destiny and not have to kowtow to the mullahs or some secular despot like Saddam was. To make things clear, we're winning! That's why they blow themselves up to kill some of us. They know they're just dead men walking! But like all suicide cults, they're gonna wipe themselves out in time. Time is working against them and they know it. That's what makes them so desperate.

I think you hit on all the right points. Saddam "started it" by invading Kuwait - and then conspiring with others to support, directly or indirectly, the assembly of nations and organizations aligning themselves toward the destruction of America. Now, whyever they are doing that, you have to break it up. But I think we should look long and hard at whatis wrong with their lives that they have no more pressing desires than to kill us. That seems fruitless for them, it's not like they're going to kill us and move into our homes and take over our businesses, and I dont' think their holy book truly says they should blow up civilian office space, so ... why are they really doing this?
But we did have to take action, however ineffective it is seeming to be at this point.

In order of blame:
1) Bush and Cheney
2) Neo-cons pushing their agenda.
3) The lazy, cheerleading media for never questioning for fear of being "unpopular."
4) The American public for being so susceptible to lame demagoguery instead of asking deeper questions.
5) The Republicans for using the issue as a political football, along with emotional claims that questioned the patriotism of anyone who asked questions.
6) The Democrats, for making the political calculation to go along for fear of offending voters.
7) Saddam for playing his game of "chicken" and assuming that those in charge here would be able to figure out that he really didn't have WMD by the total lack of any proof that he still did.

Well, the Iraqis didn't come here, America went there, so who do you think is to blame?
**Also, keep in mind that there were 23 terrorists participants on 9/11. Of those 23, 19 were Saudi, 2 were Egyptian and 2 were Algerian. NONE were Iraqi....

in summary and to use a cia term ... blowback is when somthing happens as a result of actions by governments or secret services .. maybe involving alqueda or watever, the public is not informed and has no idea of what is actually going on, so that when the retaliation comes the general public cannot put it into context ... the perpetrators are just labeled "evil doers" or they hate us because we are free ... the present american foreign policy in the middle east has been invisioned and planned ever since the end of the cold war and through multiple presidencies involving both political parties ... theres no "one" person to blame and the reasons are compound .. its mostly about believing that we are ensuring that america remains the dominant world power militarily and economically and has its energy needs met into the future ...

I think that we went there because George Bush hated Sadam because when His dad went to Iraq in the first desert storm he couldnt finish the job. So Bush is there to get even. Bush is selfish and i think if we dont get out of there the war on teroism will be world war 3 or the end of the world as we know it. So all i say is that we need to get out or he needs to grow up. Also are people around the country are paying $3,000 a second on this war. ILL show you a link on how much we our spending on the war.

We could list a litany of things or people. Bottom line: Saddam and his Regime....Simple...of course the Muslim Jihad Dummies helped a lot.
No end....true but there is a light at the end...
No WMDs: We are still looking.its a huge desert..Civilazations ofthe past are still hidden there
Logical arguments....What Logic?
Why are we the target: because we are the pinnacle of FREEDOM...The Jihadists dont like freedom,They want all their people to be followers. No mind of their own.
Wake Up!!! We are the Best of everything and they don't like us becuase they dont want that...they have to be in total control of the people
