I have been trying to get 1 since a long time now any tips? How many people here own 1? Which 1?

To answer your question, I'm also someone who has a shiny. I caught a shiny Nidoran male in Fire Red. It's now a Nidoking however I have no advice or tips for you on how to get a shiny. The only thing to say is that it's all based on luck and odds. How I found my shiny is that I wasn't even looking for it however but some people do find shinies when they're looking for one.

Statistically, 1/8192 wild Pokemon you encounter will be shiny; there's really no tips to give, since it's more of a random occurrence. I found my shiny zigzagoon on my fourth playthrough in my sapphire without looking for it, so all I can say is good luck and have patience.

The only shiny Pokemon I was able to capture was in crystal I obtained a shiny Kakuna and the red Gyarados.

on my fire red game I had a shiny exeggcute but I lost it. I caught it in the safari zone.
