How does a person find true happiness?
Health? Wealth? Success? True Love??
Do these things make a person feel truly happy?
What if you have all of these and more and you still feel like something is missing? Is it that true happiness issomething that comes from within?
How do I find it?
I have everything I could possibly want - and still I feel unhappy.
I have searched and searched and I just feel empty.
Can anyone help?

Happiness is a relative term. It's not something you can measure by wealth or success. It depends on the individual. It sounds to me like you may be feeling depressed. Maybe you should see your family doctor and tell him/her how you are feeling. I think that is a good start. Measuring what you have compared to what other people have will never work.

I'll tell you what worked for me. I didn't have much self esteem growing up. I heard that everyone has a gift to give in this life. I
thought, not me. I am very spiritual, and I asked God to show me
what my gift was. I found out it was compassion. I got a job working
with autistic and severely handicapped kids. I didn't need the money
I did this for myself. I even did diapers. I know this isn't for everyone
but you can find something where you can contribute to the world. Look at Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Believe me what
they do for the world makes them feel good. It's what you do
for other people that makes you feel good. I watched her special
on Cambodia. There was a woman who only had leaves to cook
for dinner. It made me cry. I said to God, I am not going to ask
you for anything, I don't need anything. Please help these people
I had a house on the market that I was selling. It was taking a long
time. After I told God don't help me, help them. The next day the
house sold. Watch the movie "About Schmidt" with Jack Nicholson, he finds he makes a difference in a little boys life.
It really is what you do for other people that can make you happy

wow. This is a tough question.

I know exactly what you mean. Having everything you could possibly want and still feeling unfullfilled.

I think happiness does come from within. It's a choice we make.

I find keeping a gratitude journal helpful. It helps me remember what's good. I also find sharing of my self and my possesions expands both my possesions and myself. But most of all, I find that it is LOVE that makes us most happy. And by this I don't mean the romantic kind. I mean love in general. Free, universal love that starts with love of the self and expands out.

Try reading Dr. Wayne W. Dyer books. I've found them very enlightening.

Good luck finding your answers.

Is the glass half empty or half full? If you see it as half empty, how does that actually occur inside you? If you see it as half full, how does that actually occur inside you? Watch yourself for a week. How do you usually perceive the world- what there is, or what there isn't? Find the answers to these questions and the joy of existence will flow through you. ( Hint: The books The Precious Present , and the Power of Now may help you find the answers.

A life path decides the life of a person. The life path is different for different people which is dictated by so many factors such as family background, present position, child hood experiences etc. I suggest that we should learn to change our life path. It is a sort of meditation. I have seen a program created by 'Robert Serafino' for attaining peace and happiness in life. I think it is a must that every one of us must visit the following site and get the benefits!

First oof, I',m a much older Male. As we get older, being honest is the key to all happiness. Honesty to yourself. And only excepting honest in every thing you do or say. You wouldn't want your Job to lie to you. You wouldn't want your Squeeze, to lie to you. Why would you lie to yourself? I feel llike, anyone that is unhappy. Is having some doubts about their own happiness. Bu, then again, I could be wrong. Good question, though. LUCK!

Stop searching. What is meant to be will happen, and you may not realize it til later in life. Accept what you can change, accept what you can't change, but never let anyone or life depress you.
