My goodness, isn't that what rock music used to do? That and lead to "satan worship'...Before rock, wasn't it jazz music...and before that wasn't it......

Rap is around because it is popular. People like it because it is easy for them to relate to the topics and generally easy to dance to because of the strong beats.

As far as your comment about the effects of rap, they are completely unfounded and have no place here. I suggest discussing this topic with an actual person, perhaps a DJ at a rap radio station to find some understanding, and not trolling on-line.

Because we are now reduced as a society to the thought that anything is OK as long as we can make money at it. There is no sense of social responsibility anymore.

If people were really concerned about it and didn't buy it, then it would be gone- simple as that.

Personally, I hate rap music and hesitate to even use the term "music" when describing it, but in all fairness I have to challenge your ignorant question.
