I would say dont just go out and buy something for the sake of it. Make an effort to find something that will show him you love him and care for him. Even if it mens make something yourself. Buying a gift for someone doesnt show affection and appreciation, which is what i think Valentines day is all about. Do something for him that he would really like. Cook him his faviourite meal or pamper him. I would appreciate that much more than just a bought gift. Hope this helps.

Guys in general look at this holiday as a way they can be romantic for their lady and if they get anything other than the obvious, then it's a bonus.

If you really want to do something nice for him, then find out his likes and dislikes and get him something that relates to his hobbies or interests. Maybe if you don't live with each other, offer to clean his place or get his car cleaned and detailed. Men in general are not materialistic and prefer to have something done than receive something.

If your man is materialistic, get him a 12 pack of some exotic beer or a bottle of Crown.

How about this? Go the entire day and early evening and do nothing. Just before you go to bed for the evening, use your imagination and dress up like his own personal Valentine and show him you are truly his Valentine.

Nothing. I find it a dead holiday. Choked on the commercialization.

My wife gets nothing from me and i get nothing. We do however pick random days through out the year and get each other things. Like on a whim I will go get her a card, flowers and take her out to dinner. This means by far more than doing in on a day we have all grown up learning you MUST do something for your sweetheart.

get him nothing but tomorrow go get him a card and take him to a movie of his choice (be sure to show interest in the movie) and dinner at his fav rest.

ENJOY!!
