I saw Bruce Timm in one of the credits, but I can't find anywhere that says it will be based in the DCAU. Anyone know? :o

It will be based on the DC Animated Universe STYLE, but it is going with its own continuity. I have not read the story, but it is more 'Silver Age' in character style so it would not conform with the current universe.

I guess it is kinda like the DVD release, "Superman: Braniac Attacks". It was in the style of the Superman Animated Series, but its characterization and plot points were definatly not part of the DC Animated Universe. (i.e. Lex Luthor was more like Gene Hackman's Lex of the movie, than it was Clancy Brown's Lex from the cartoon)

From my understanding this is one of two DC projects based directly on a comic series, New Frontier which was a limited series, while it bears marked similarities in design to the DCU Animated Universe it is not.

The other is the Judas Contract, Teen Titans, based on Terra's betrayal of the team.
