I think we are everywhere just like ignorant people are also everywhere. I live in Vermont and i see both every day and I see some people that believe themselves openminded as they decide what other peoples political ideas must be in order to be called correct (seems communist to me). I am not sure there is any way to completely avoid ignorance, prejudice, or hate but fortunately I think it may be even harder to avoid education and enlightenment.

I live in Colorado- there's an odd mixture of very open minded people and crazy hillbilly farmers. I do love Georgia though- I want to move to Tybee Island- Beautiful!!!

What is it that you want people to be open-minded about? P.S. I don't live in Georgia.

Do you mean people who can't form their own opinions or don't have the stones to stand by the ones that they do have? I would have to say Europe and the blue states.

how do you define a person as open minded?

If they have made up their mind and have settled on what they believe, is this what you call narrow minded?

FACT; you do not know what is in the hearts and minds of other people.

Stop pretending you do!

Basically open-minded people are a product of their environment. Politically they would be considered liberal or progressive while closed-minded people would be considered conservative or traditional.
