That depends: are you going to Yale or Durango State. Try this link: http://www.collegeboard.com/student/pay/add-it-up/482.html
it looks comprehensive.

Are you living on or off campus?

Textbooks run about $500 for 15 credit hours these days (that's used) per semester.

Living expenses are based on your lifestyle choices. Will you cook or eat at home? How much are you going to be spending on bar tabs? Are you in an urban environment where prices are more expensive? Which section of the country are you in (which plays a huge role in cost of living expenses)? Will you be working or just going to school? Are you parents helping support your education? Do you have financial aid options? Are you commuting? If so, how much gas per week will you need?

There's a lot of factors- I think you need to provide more information.

For just the books and other expenses....

If you live on campus, about $700-800

If you live off campus about $1,000 due to extra transportation costs.

It's about $450-500 for books alone if you're attending classes FT. See if your school has a meal plan debit card even if you live off campus....a lot of times they won't charge tax if you use the card and that will save some $.

depends on where you are goign to school ( new york city Vs. rural setting) and how you spend (clothes, going out, eating out etc.) Textbooks are expensive no matter what- what ever you do DONT BUY THEM AT THE COLLEGE BOOKSTORE, you can save a ton by purchasing them online... the best site I know of is Textbook411.com , I always save atleast 1/2 on my books!!!! bood luck!

From what i have seen if you plan to live on campus and go a to a private school you can expect to pay roughly $20,000 a year. I had a freind who went to private school and thats how much it cost her, aslo i have a cousin who is looking into private schools and all the ones he has looked at are around that.
