It was JOHN LOGIE BAIRD's assistant who was sent into an adjacent room in front of the apparatus whilst JLB watched on the screen --- so it wasn't just in the UK it was first in THE WORLD, in Scotland, and as for it being John yogi bear, the mind boggles - and I bet a few Scotsmen will bristle if they get to read that load of old tosh!

well when T.V's came out at first there was only one station which said no signal.this was because it was only a month after t.V's came out that the first programmes came on it.and the first person on it was a man who came on every 5 mins on the non broad casted radio station saying this programme is not available for viewing yet.please stand by until further broadcast.

i thought yogi bear, was from yellow stone park, America. i new he was on TV, but didn't think he went that far back .
