Personally I think the assholes blaming everything on the USA are much more ignorant than the ultra-rightwing flag waving bible thumping American. I wanna puke when I hear immigrants say America is the evilest nation on the planet and they are responsible for all the bad things. I am an immigrant myself (origally from Iran) is fortunate to live in the USA. So its sad when immigrants criticize the USA so negatively when they were acccepted by this nation. I hear most of the negative things from Mexican illegals which they have no right to live here. Im very grateful cause the US was nice enough to get me a visa so i could live in this country. To you arrogant people you know what I dont agree with what America does all the time but i really do apperiate this nation. I wouldnt choose to live anywhere else.

Ali, I am really glad you feel the way you do...that is what America is all about. People coming here in search of a better life. And we have the freedom NOT to agree all of the time. I am glad you are enjoying your freedom here. It sounds like you've got the right idea--welcome to the USA!

For those (foreigners and Americans alike) who don't like it here, well, there's a plane leaving in 5 minutes from almost any nearby airport. Get yourself a one-way ticket out!

One of the things about being an American is that we can criticize our government - at least last time I checked - it may have changed under Bush.

I work with many undocumented Mexicans and I have never heard them criticize this country. Just because you are a legal immigrant, don't fall into the trap of good immigrant/bad immigrant. They are here for the same reasons you are - they want freedom, to be able to earn money to put food on their families' tables, and to live with dignity. When they are mistreated, as they often are, they have the right to complain, whether they are here illegally or not. If you want to learn more, study the history of US intervention in Latin American - it is not terribly different than how the US has intervened in Iran and many other places in the world, except that Mexico is so close we don't even have to send troops there, we can manipulate the government from the safety and security of our own homes. Do your research before you start criticizing Mexicans - because of our free trade agreements poverty in Mexico has increased dramatically - because of our use of corn, a Mexican staple food - to make biofuels - the price of tortillas has increased 400% - we are placing Mexico on the brink of an economic and humanitarian disaster that will have thousands more flooding over the borders because they will choose to risk their lives getting here than to simply sit there and die.

As an American, I welcome all immigrants, documented and undocumented. Those who have no papers are simply not lucky enough to come from a place whose government is an enemy of the US, or to have the money and education to be able to get here through legal routes. Undocumented immigrants are building this country, are doing the jobs that no one else wants, and they are doing this with a dignity and work ethic that we all could learn so much from if we'd stop with the rhetoric that is based only on prejudice and fear.

Welcome to this country - just don't think you can close the door on others who want to follow behind you.

i do not consider the Muslim leaders on many factors, yet one element i'm able to is that the U,S, and Britain has made it a hell hollow contained in the middle East at the same time as they gave the Zionist Israel earlier Palestine, even tho the Palestinians were not modern and had many stupid religious handicaps i don't sense it changed into precise for them to provide the land to the Zionist because it has created numerous issues for the danger free Jew's and Palestinians, how might want to you sense if some one got here in and took away your position and u . s . a .?to a lot of human beings do not understand the total tale about what surpassed off there, or there would not be a lot help for Israel, as they have been mind washed with information from our Zionist media,it type of feels no human being needs to really understand what surpassed off they basically favor to sit down decrease back and pay interest to the recent's and obviously at the same time as numerous lies are informed with information from our solid Zionist owned new;s media they immediately imagine the Arabs are basically stupid camel jockeys and do not deserve any interest nor a house,

i love that you asked this. and i love that you pointed out how you don't always agree with what America does but you do appreciate this nation.

i think if more people felt the way you do, we'd all get along so much better. thank you for saying what you just said. :)

to answer your question, i think a lot of people in other countries hate us for several reasons. for one, the media in this country is horrible. i cannot imagine what people who have never been here think of us, after watching such tripe on TV. then there's the people who are jealous of the success of this country. i'm including the Communists and Socialists in this category. they hate it that we're capitalist instead, and successful. they'd rather we all be suffering under communist rule.

there's plenty of other reasons, too.

I dont know about the illegals that say the US is bad but I work with thousands of immigrants from Africa and they all agree with you. everyone of them I have talked to say their consensus is that they understand and appreciate America more than most of the citizens do. this alone tells me that the people of this country have lost what makes this country great. Its a travesty. and these dissenters always say they are fighting for what this country is... amazing.

What cracks me up is when it's British people who say we're all trying to rule the world. Weren't THEY the ones responsible for the British Empire, colonialism (and its inevitable collapse,) not to mention the problems that came about AFTER the collapse of the empire? If only THEY minded their own business!

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

The people who hate America are liberals who have no moral values and want to see us fail miserably in the War on Terror. Illegals have no right to be here, but they wave their flag over America's flag and speak their own language over America's language, English. If you want to come here, learn the language and respect the flag.

America is not perfect. We take the good for granted, and focus on the bad in the hopes that we can make it better. That's how it works here.

As for Iran, you should have stayed there to get real freedom for your people. That means getting rid of the Mullahs. ALL of them. All at once.

Because America is trying to run the World and does so far more than anyone else. If they minded their own business a bit more, used diplomacy rather than violence and supported the UN they would be far less open to blame.
