How do I reset my Oil Life Sensor on my 2003 Trailblazer?

I need to change my oil but dont know how to reset the sensor

key forward to on position (not start) then stomp the gas pedal 3 times all the way to the floor. The oil life should say "reset"

If I remember correctly, you turn the key to just before the car turns on, then you pump the gas pedal 3 times in 3 seconds. That should reset it.
