I was really mad at this kid who goes to my school and I was talkign to him over IM and stuff and i started cursing him out and I finally got him to leave me alone. Then I got in a chat with my best friends and a guy who is in my class. I was mad and then i left and my friend, Sally, kept repeating the fatc I was mad after I left and my fried Amanda (whoI thought was trustworthy) starts trash-talking me behind my back and saying all these mean things. I slept over at Sally's that night and she pulled up the conversation to show me what the guy in my class said to her... but I saw what Amanda said and I got really upset. And tomorrow, I have school with her. Any advice? (and Amanda doesn't know that I know what she said)

You sound young, by both your post and your grammar. Honey, you will learn as you get older the world is full of back stabbing people. There are very few people you can truly trust. Just hold your head up high and know that you are better than that. I bet you Amanda will act as if nothing ever happened and whether you choose to divulge your information or not is up to you. Just see her for who she is, someone you cannot trust and find a better friend. Good luck. High school is rough, one day you will look back at this and chuckle.

God Bless

I hate msm - I think it does nothing but cause trouble between friends. However, I'd send the copy of the conversation to Amanda, and ask her what she's got to say for herself. She'll apologise, it will all blow over and then you'll start all over again. It's the way of the world.
Ideally, you should learn who your friends are, never boudmouth anyone or curse anyone and always be true to your mates.

Aaaah, the curses of teendom and the computer age.

Well, you could cause a big stink and call everyone out and bust out their two-facedness to everyone, or you can just remember what was said and done and next time don't trust ANY of them--nobody's a true friend that would talk about you like that, behind your back, etc.

Talk to amanda but be sure to have a copy of the transcript as proof. Confront her about it, but don't show her the transcript yet. If she denies it, then you pull out the transcript and see what she has to say for herself! You gotta be prepared ;)

Sometimes the best thing to do is "Nothing" its also the hardest. I would leave it alone. In life you will always be subjected to negetive people and their negetive words. Its up to you not to take it personally. Its not about you, really!
