10 months is pretty standard wait before taking Clomid. I'm sure the doctor told you to take the Clomid for about 6 months before coming back.
Getting pregnant is pretty like a crap shoot; your aiming somewhat blindly and hoping for the best. Even with ovulation kits, you're guessing your fertile times. And having sex to often or not often enough can keep you from getting pregnant. Clomid is kind of the easy way out.
Once you have tried it for about 6 months and you're still not pregnant, you'll probably have to have your husband tested.
Try not to get stressed out, this process can take a very long time (a few years), or it can happen this month.
two important things to know are that stress can keep you from getting pregnant, so stay relaxed and enjoy all the "trying", and Clomid could potentially give you multiples, so I hope that sounds good to you because now that door is open.
Good Luck.

I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble getting pregnant. I tried for a year using the basil thermometer method without luck. I then tried Clomid for three cycles. I didn't get pregnant and had some nasty side effects from the Clomid, so I went on Fertinex (I don't think they use that anymore) for four cycles. After a year of infertility treatment and a year of giving up, my husband and I finally "got pregnant", out of the blue. I really hope the Clomid works out for you - it's a long, hard road.

I tried for a baby for 2 years, then went on Clomid for 2 years, along with the monthly doctors visits, and the hgh shots, and the tv sonograms....after 8 years of trying, I adopted a beautiful blond haired, blue eyed baby girl. My hubby still wants a natural child, so I went back to the doctor. He said that we could try something that concentrated the good sperm and injected them at ovulation, or we could do IVF. I will try the sperm injection when Oni is 2, and we'll see what happens. I told you this so you can know that it may be a long and hard process, but if you want a baby, keep it up. And don't rule out adoption. I love Oni so much, and wanting her for 8 years makes me love her so much more...

I dont be responsive to something approximately clomid, yet i be responsive to roughly preseed. that's a lubricant it is sperm friendly and it has helped many women get pregnant. All woment I even have asked have reported it has worked for them. So I used ovulation predictor tests additionally and as quickly as I examined postive on those, we used the preseed primary until we ran out. So now we are merely waiting it out to work out if i'm pregnant. Google Preseed and it provide you the abode website. that's 14.ninety 9 and it takes approximately 3 days to be on your mail field. attempt that. Goodluck

I tried for 18 months before finding that I wasn't ovulating. I started clomid and was pregnant within 3 cycles. I miscarried that one, had a d&c and was pregannt again within 3 cycles and carried to term.
