I have some very intelligent and knowdgeable books, where I could learn a lot from. But, I guess this is what I get for having too many books. I have somewhere like 400 to 500 books.

really depends on what you like. are they novels or non-fiction?

i have the same problem, and i find myself reading two books at once. right now, i'm reading "Alice in Wonderland" and "the Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy"

Plus, i work at Barnes & Noble, and i find myself picking up two books everytime i'm there.

what are some titles you're thinking about?

I do the same thing-I buy a lot of books and then most I don't touch. Instead I go to the library and just grab something different.

Well, right now I am reading a short book called Maggie's Miracle by Karen Kingsbury and am enjoying it. It's very easy reading, though, so you might be bored.

I recommend The Inheritance by Louisa May Alcott. It's one of her lesser known books, but excellent and not as long as her others.

Have you read the best seller Marley and Me? It's excellent. Very very funny.

Some other good ones you might like:
The Blue Bottle Club by P. Stokes
A Quiet Strength the auto bio of Rosa Parks
Emily Ever After by Ann Dayton
A Long Way From Chicago by R. Peck
Of Mice and Men by Steinbeck (short compared to his other books)
Bookends by Liz Curtis Higgs
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith

Happy reading!

"The Talisman", by Stephen King and Peter Straub.

The "Dune" series by Frank Herbert. Frank Herbert said that he thought oil when he wrote about the spice melange and it's effect on society. Very appropriate for today!

The whole series of books that contain "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe". It was more than one book.

The same thing for "The Wizard of Oz". Baum wrote a whole series on it.

And if you want to read a book that has everything in it, and I mean EVERYTHING, read the Bible.

"Having Our Say" by the Delany Sisters. Life story of two african-american twin sisters growing up from the early 1900s to the late 1990s, including the civil rights era. Very interesting and true.
