My steering wheel is locked and the key wont turn over. How do I unlock it? I have a toyota corolla. Could it be cuz its 8 degrees outside and I havent started the car all day? I put wd 40 in it, but that didnt seem to help any. Im going back out there in a few to try it again.

If the car is an automatic make sure it is in park and try moving the shift around a little. All so keep moving the steering wheel right and left while trying to turn the key.

You must turn the wheel a little, and at the same time you must also try to start the car, or at least turn the key in the ignition. Keep moving the steering wheel and try turning the ignition key, and eventually you will get the wheel unlocked. I had a Corolla before, and whenever the wheel locked on me (which was always a pain in the a**) this is what always did the trick for me! Good luck!.

once the key is turned the wheel will unlock..try spraying some wd-40 onto the key before putting in the key ignition. Try jiggling the wheel once the key is turned also.
