Well, just tell your husband that your poor kid will have a tough time in school when kids start to pick on him and bully him just because of his name. I can't really suggest anything to you because naming your kid is such a personal affair that it will be futile for me to try.

The name Luke Walker is good its the middle name that ruins it, I do not think its a very good idea even for a Star Wars fan. Sorry

I have 2 kids and I LOVE Star Wars, but their names have nothing to do with Star Wars. DO NOT, under any circumstances, name him ANYTHING that resembles a Star Wars charcter. You're going to set him up for ridicule. For example, I used to know two kids whose parents liked astonomy, so they named their kids Jet and Galaxy. Knew another kid whose parents were nature freaks and named her Apple. All 3 grew up resentful of their parent's obsessions when naming them. Trust me, Luke Sky Walker or Luke Skylar Walker is not creative. It's downright lame.

No, i does no longer be mad about the James/Jameson element. clarify to her that there are ALREADY 3 different little ones named James in the relatives. Or, because it type of feels sparkling that the genuine concern right it is the courting between you and your mom in regulation i'd say you and your husband do not fairly owe her any type of rationalization. this is going to be your baby. She were given to call her youthful little ones, now it is your turn to call yours. so that you integrated your figure's names into the names of your little ones...that is because it grow to be significant to you and your husband agreed on those names. you would attempt stating that they are getting used because the midsection call and that infrequently all and sundry is customary with or makes use of a baby's midsection call besides, that would placate her truly. you won't be able to enable it difficulty you. If she needs to make a huge fuss over no longer some thing, then that is her decision yet that would not advise that you are able to enable it dissatisfied you too. As a good pal of mine always says, she'll get over it...or die unhappy.

LOL! Try to convince him Luke is okay but leave the 'sky' part for a nickname. You might show him the site below for inspiriation:

http://www.notwithoutmyhandbag.com/babynames/

Page 8 has this to say to someone who was going to name their child Aniken:
Next up, the Web site says the correct spelling is Anakin, but in any spelling it's a stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid name, and unless the kid hones the ability to strangle people with his mind and sound like James Earl Jones, his life will be a nightmare of unimaginable proportions.

Tell him that sky is a girls name, which it is cos i have a cousin named Skye, and that the baby would be teased for having a girls middle name. Although Luke Walker does sound nice!

My friend's name is Luke Walker and he doesn't get very many comments about it. Though, I think the middle name being Sky is going a little too far.

Lucas Sky Walker. He could always go by his nickname Luke.

My husband wanted to name our son(if we had one) Anakin Lucas, I wasn't thrilled either. I just explaned to him what kind of nicknames the poor child would have and finally he agreed to pick a different name, we ended up with a daughter so it was all good in the end. So maybe you can just explain that the child would be made fun of a lot. As for better names Aiden Micheal, Hunter James, Connor Joseph.

Oh no, please don't let him. if it wasn't from the film it wouldn't be that bad. But he will prob get the mick taken out of him at school for sure. You need to convince your husband of what it would be like for your child when he goes to school and to think about his child before thinking about his likes of Star Wars!

Just do a search for 'baby names' on a search engine and it comes up with loads of sites where you can find good names.

Good luck in convincing your hubbie x
