My sons were asking.. How do you get the nickname Jack from John and Dick from Richard.. I'm sure Richard was funnier to them.. Told them. I don't know..

I don't think the nickname Jack from John is common. The only person I know who has this is JFK. Dick from Richard is more common, but I don't see how it was derived either. Rich or Rick is more applicable. Why did you change your user name?
