Hello there..
A few days ago I posted a very similar question about thinking and language; if your theory posted on the question its correct then all what you have posted will be fair.
However, I dont believe it to be true. So far language its the most popular way to communicate ourselves with society; but our language its not controled by our thinking or the definitions we know; our thinking doesnt control our feelings; our feelings are chemical reactions; emotions that might have to do with instincts then with something else. Sometimes we have emotions or stuff we want to express and we cant find the words nor know how to expressed them, either cause we dont have a deffiniton for them that has been explained for us nor because ourselves are not possible to be deffined.
Personally I would put that feelings are the ones who might control our thinking, as in cause - reaction; feeling hungry - thinking what to eat. Babies, are in to that reactions as well, they dont have a proper system of deffinitions yet, however they manage to comunicate.
Is language then, the best way to communicate?? socially speaking, might be the only one so far.. yes we do have art (music, painting, etc) but thats a selfish involved communication, it doesnt mean anything much if not shared with someone else.
The social problems involved, its not about the communication failing as a system, its what we communicate what its causing the wars, injustice, corruption, etc. Communication didnt fail as a tool, its how we used it what made it "failed". Its like TV. We can focus in a lot of faults that we can take from it, but its up to us to decide what we see and how we used it. We have used communication for good, to established human rights, justice, love and care.
Seems to you that all mistakes in human history are made off misunderstandings, if that were true, we need deffinetly to improve our way of communicating or at least develope better dictionaries or more patience, however; its our basics differences of opinions, experiences, points of view, yes some beliefs and maybe some lack of respect for that difference among us that its the basic problem.. wich leads back to my point; its not communication.. its the message on it.

All of that sounds very true, but in the days when language was invented, you could say it was a primative way of communication, especially since primative beings invented it and, although I don't know much about the time period it was invented, many see it as the time when the wheel, fire, spears, etc. were all new inventions as well.
So maybe, as humans, we can speak to each other without words, but music and art wasn't a luxery back then and, today, it seems humans are much more focused on themselves to find a new way, if there is one. And, I'm thinking, telepathically?

If you had been born in Britain or keep a British passport then English IS your countrywide language. You simply have the knowledge that you're bi-lingual and even multi lingual. Everyone on this planet will have to be taught one other language. Did you recognize that "Good Morning" is truthfully an abbreviation of "God be with you this Morning" Since I am seeking to be taught one other language I will conclude via wishing you "Buona mattina" EDIT. Just realised that your query used to be requested in India. I for that reason apologise for the above reply and could state that you just will have to talk Hindi should you decide upon. The days of the British empire are lengthy long past.

I dont see why you think language has failed us. We have achieved so much in such a short time span. Of course we have made mistakes along the way we live to live another day. Language is probably the best way to communicate because its easy to set up walls that pervent us from telling to much too fast and it helps us to explain alot in a sort time span. I think if anything it is our ways of learning that are failing us. We have so much power in our minds and yet we are stuck learning the same way we have learned for centuries. So much more could be expressed if only we had the learning tools to figure out how to express it. I put most of the blame on citizens allowing there children to learn from a Gov that does not care 100% about your child. Parents need to be more involved in the learnings of their children. Of course this patern is hard to break especialy when the Gov benefits from it and wants to keep it the way things are. If you're gona have children I think you owe it to them that you have a majority of your time free for them to use. We shouldnt be leading our children all the time we need to let them lead also. Hopefuly these words dont fall on meaningless pixels...

It isn't that language has failed, it is that people use language to serve their own purpose. Whatever language is used or whatever form of langusge-sign, verbal, body, written, music, art,or computer-each person uses it to serve their own purpose. Some people use language for a higher purpose and some for selfish or evil purposes. The effects that language has depends on the purpose of the person using it.

Language is *how* we communicate|
We communicate through symbols and signs|
Communication is the exchange of symbols and signs between two intellects|
Now a particular language consists of a particular *syntax* and *semantics.*
Syntax is the *rules* of the language - that is, how it operates logically and formally.
Sematics is the *meaning* that the symbols and signs have - as how each symbol or sign is a referent for a particular reality we wish to communicate, that our intellect perceives that we wish to give to another intellect||||

In a word, yes, although I admit to the universality of music. People seem to be able to "come together" with fine arts (including r&r).
