On our computer we have 2 accounts: Mine and my bro's.

When i want to print a doccument from my side it won't print and say the 'duccument failed to print'. But when i print from my bro's side it prints.

It's never been like this. And it is not a new computer or printer. We've been using the same computer and printer for 2 yrs & this never happened. I am also v. sure i didn't change any settings on my account.

Even though you are sure that YOU didn't change any settings it must be that somehow, somewhere a setting got changed. The best thing to do if you can't troubleshoot it by the standard means is to act like you have just gotten the printer and totally re-install it on your side.

To try and troubleshoot it, go to the Control Panel and click on printers and see if the information matches up with what it says when you are on your brother's side. Try printing a test page and follow the troubleshooting procedures that the computer will guide you through. If that doesn't fix it, then rdelete the printer in the control panel and re-install it from scratch.

When logged into your account - go Start/Printers - is your printer active - by that I mean is not grayed out? Does it have a check mark - set as default printer? Check to see if there is something hung up in the print que. Do this by double clicking on the printer icon. If you see any documents in there - click on them once to highlight - then click on the tab printers - and cancel all documents. Make sure the printer is not paused by the same process. Go back to the printers and faxes folder - is there a check mark there and do you see the word "ready"? If you do you should be ready to go.
