Problems on my boat. what to do?

II sit here at 4pm, and about to play guitar at a racecourse Boaty Festival in a couple of hours The pot-belly stove thing has gone out - bung a log or three on I suppose, the TV has lost it's batteries, I can't get this thing in tune for the love of God.
I have hurt my ankle emptying the loo, and the power needle tells me that this system is about to pack up.
Should I just throw myself in the river, with Gandolf the boxer dog, and just swim around ?
Or swallow a pill and head for the festival ?
Quick! I need advice.

You're doing fine then. Although i'd turn off the computer before the power needle gets too low. Hopefully you've got a genny to charge your starter battery, or you can hand turn it.

Oh well, take the pill, do the show, worry about the boat next year. Its too late to do anything in 2007 now.

It's 6pm now, you don't have too much light left. Take care of the boat problem in the morning.

Get over to the festival with your guitar. Find someone with an instrument in tune and get an 'E' note from them for the 6th string (low E string). Use the 5th fret on the E string to tune your A (5th) string, 5th fret on the A string to tune the D string, 5th fret on the D string to tune the G string, 4th fret on ther G string to tune the B string, and 5th fret on the B string to tune the high E string.

Your situation will stabilize at the lowest level of survival your willing to exist at. Better known as a "street person", you make do with the minimum to survive in modern society. It will be a lot easier on you if you can qualify for government welfare payments.
