My sisters are beautiful. My friends at school are beautiful. The celebrities are beautiful. I however, am not.

My sisters/friends and celebrities wear there hair in more then one way. The wave it, or they put it up in a clip nicely, or they put it up in a ponytail or leave it straight down. Either way, they still look pretty.

The only hair style that looks decent on me is when my hair is straight down. I'm 13 years old and I;m so ugly with any hairstyle. I haven't done my eyebrows yet and haven't waxed my upper lip. It's just, why can't I put my hair in a different style without me looking so ugly?

When I'm older, I want to wear my hair up in so many ways, but I'm afraid I'll look too ugly like I do now. And believe me, I do look ugly. Will I grow out of this?
What do I do?

You are NOT ugly. I used to tell my self that ALL of the time when was your age. It continued for years!!! I would look into the mirror and say "you are so ******* ugly!!!" (I don't curse anymore but I did back then.) It was a sign of low self esteem. Low self esteem will not only make you feel so bad about your self but it will help you in making decisions that are not healthy for you, such as staying with an abusive boyfriend, or hanging out with people that are no good for you. This in turn will help you to keep your low self esteem going strong. Our society is not very kind sometimes, especially to girls. Go out and look at the magazines, movies, or TV shows, with the exception of Ugly Betty, all the women are physically "perfect". They are perfect because they are air brushed, in real life they have physical flaws just like EVERY ONE else. At 13 it is hard not to listen to these messages, because everyone else your age is listening to these messages. When you get older, most people stop listening to these messages as much. WE all do it from time to time, but as you get older it starts to get better. One thing I have learned over all of these years, is that EVERY ONE is beautiful in their own way. You will not find YOUR way(s) until you stop trying to be like other people. You are NOT ugly, you are beautiful, special, unique, and you are loved. Don't try to be like your sisters, or celebrities, try to be like your self. This feeling will pass, but only if you make it go away. You may want to talk to your parents of a school counselor about this, as they may have some things you can try to help you find your true valuable worth. Remember, you ARE beautiful!!!

well it defintly seems like we are dealing with some self esteem issues and that is wrong beacuse you are way to young to be feeling like that about yourself:)o.k. the problems is you feel your not pretty enough, well when i was your age i wore my hair in 2 diffrent styles and they were not cute at all, and i really didnt have that much self esteem either then one day i went to school i felt so diffrent that day i had a huge talk with my mom and she said no one will ever think your pretty unless you do, so i woke up everyday and i said 1 compliment to me and i tried to do my hair in diffrent ways and i just belived that i was truky beatiful now i am 22 and i get alot of compliments on my looks and no its not cuz their sleezy its natural i dont wear alot of makeup and i just wear what i feel comfortable in see so many people now and days are stuck on looks and thats noit right that is why you have to know that you are beatiful and you have to belive it to see it, :)

Yes you'll grow out of it.Probably into a very pretty young lady. When I was your age I felt like a clod cuz I was 5'7 and my mom was 5 foot. She use to tell me that she would do anything to be my size.I thought at that time that she was just saying that.Well now that I'm older and when I walk next to her I see what she means now. Taller people do look better next to real short people. Plus we can gain alittle weight and it doesn't show. Like it does on real short people. So you are at that age where u feel ugly but that does not mean u are...Give yourself sometime.Good luck

I honestly doubt that you're ugly and if you keep thinking that you are it won't matter how you're hair looks, you'll never be satisfied, me I'm a little insecure myself, so I NEVER put my hair up now it's my"thing" just make your hair your trademark till you're ready to try something else

I have a feeling that you're not as ugly as you think. However
I use Sunsilk shampoo...for my flat hair...and it really helps add volume to your hair.
The way you look reflects how you look at yourself. So think positave!

u need to work on ur attitude first, the first step to beauty is believing it u r not goin to look like who u classify as beautiful but just think of your self as beautiful find ur best quality and flaunt it.

Same prob. here! Don't bother asking ur parents coz they'll say: Oh, u're pretty anyway. Don't bother.

Don't ask any1 else coz they'll say: Adolocence. (or something like that)
