Easily the best weekend of football I have ever seen. I'm not a huge football fan by any means, but I found myself at numerous times screaming at the tv and jumping up and down in my living room...and I was watching the games alone!
Any games that can get me that into the action simply have to be off the hook.
The Colts/Ravens game was everything it was billed to be. The two defenses going head-to-head and little offense from either side. Honestly, I didn't think the Colts D would be able to show up for a second week in a row like it did against the Chiefs, but that was a helluva game they played to eliminate the 2-seed.
The Saints/Eagles was absolutely outstanding. The two teams I pull for are the Saints and the Chargers, because I loved them as underdogs and now they're pretty solid so I love that even more, so watching the Thunder and Lightning show of Bush and McAllister combined with the incredible leadership of Drew Brees and the "Who the Heck Are These Guys?" combination of receivers has been wonderful. The Eagles played a great game. Garcia, Westbrook and Stallworth all pulled out all the stops, but when it was said and done the dynamic offense of the Saints was just too much.
The Bears/Seahawks was a great game. I honestly thought that the Seahawks were going to send the Bears packing. Grossman came up clutch when he really needed to and can probably breath a sigh of relief...at least until next week anyway.
The Chargers/Patriots game was in my mind just a shade better than the Saints/Eagles contest because I spent the entire game on the edge of my seat, because I know what Tom Brady and the Pats are capable of in the playoffs and that weird, unexplainable playoff voodoo came into play yet again as Brady and his boys made everyone in San Diego go from a loud screaming mob, to a quiet disappointed tea party. The comebacks were incredible. The turnovers were huge. There was some sketchy officiating, but that's always going to happen. All-in-all this game had me wired and I couldn't sleep last night. It is a shame LT won't get to strut his stuff. I'd have loved a Chargers/Saints Super Bowl.
I guess now I get to get psyched for next week when the best rivalry of the past five seasons--the Colts and Patriots--comes full-circle with a shot at the Super Bowl on the line and I can get dually excited to watch the Saints take that powerhouse offense and staggering defense north to play the Bears in what should be a cold and hostile environment.
Go Saints!

One team I was impressed this weekend was the New Orleans Saints. I thought those players from the team played such an awesome game & now they're in the NFC Championship game against the Chicago Bears. New Orleans has come a long way from being a losing team who was displaced by Hurricane Katrina 18 months ago to coming back to win their division, win a playoff game & are in a Conference Game to determine who will represent the NFC in this year's SuperBowl. My hat's off to Sean Payton for turning this team around in his first year as coach & to Drew Brees, Reggie Bush, & Deuce McAlister for guiding the team all the way.

I also thought the games were very competitive. There were no blow-outs and the level of play was at a high caliber. The hitting was awesome. I couldn't believe Reggie Bush only sat out one play after taking such a hard hit at the beginning of the game. Great defense was played by all the teams and that is what you expect or hope for during playoff games..

yea, but the Saints made it a little too good for my blood. I almost had a heart attack when Bush dropped that pitch. We need to play better against the Bears. Of course everything else in Gravy now. I was hoping for an 8-8 season.
Geaux Saints!

very entertaining . I agree. I was disappointed that Philly lost though ,I was rooting for them. I like Garcia ,I think he is a good QB.
I was also disappointed that Tomlinson will not get a chance to make it to the Super Bowl.
