Capitalism incents businesses and individuals to act in a way that will make them most successful, so they afford the things they want, right?

Since every company and individual limits their opportunities if they are intolerant of certain groups (religions, genders, races, sexual orientations, etc.), eventually those that are more tolerant do better. Remember what happened to Denny's when one of their restaurants refused to serve a group based on the color of their skin?

National outrage, boycotts, and the like! Sales and profit plummetted. Immediately the corporation started doing tolerance training and stuff.

So capitalism actually breeds tolerance in the long run.

Capitalism breeds freedom. You can freely choose to be intolerant. However, you will have more success if you are tolerant, so the best choice is to be tolerant.

The important thing is to be free, which capitalism is. How you use your freedom is up to you.
