no way unless he can start racking up the rings. he will be great and so will many others but kobe will be the closest to being at his level but only if he (kobe) can lead his own team to the championships will he ever be greater

I don't think so. I like Lebron a lot, but there is only one Michael. Lebron may break some of the records, but the championships are going to set them apart. Just like in most sports, you have to have the championships or you aren't considered with the champions.

Lebron James Is already in his 3rd year in the league and has already acheived great things at such a early age/ Youngest player to: - average 30 points in a season.
- score 7,000 points in his career.
- Win a All-star Game MVP
- 1 of only 3 players to score a triple double in his first
playoff game (Magic Johnson, Johnny McCarthy)
-First Player to score 40 points in a road game in playoffs
-1 of only 3 players to average 20 points 5 rebounds and 5 assists in rookie season (Oscar Robertson, Michael Jordan)
-1 of only 5 players to average 25 points 7 rebounds and 7 assists a game (Larry Bird, Michael Jordan,Oscar Robertson,John Havlicek . So as you can see already He's mentioned with the greats and the legends of this sport already in his career at a young age so it's not complete insanity to say that one day Lebron could surpass Michael

I think Lebron can come close but Jordan just has those 6 championships so he will always be on top of Lebron.

yeah i think he will be better than michael smith, or michael cooper, or michael james, or michael jones, if you mean michal jordan you need to go to your room now and beat your own self with a bag of nickels. MJ was and is the greatest player we have and will ever see. everybody else is a just a cheap imitation.

Not even close, man.
LeBron is a great player, a great dunker, always looking to attack, I agree. But MJ is MJ.
If you have to find someone close to MJ (let's not talk about better), than you can go with Kobe. I think LeBron is not there yet.

Jordan will always be viewed as the greatest. Lebron may become great, may win scoring titles, may win championships, but he will never be as great as Jordan was.

he has the talent to be. But he has to win at least 2-3 championships to even be considered in the same category.
