Use super tampons... Nothing gets through those... I know it's difficult to get used to those things... I started when i was in 5th grade... At age 10. If your mom will let you get on birth control than you can have only 4 periods a year!! Good luck... but try hard to get used to them cause they aren't going anywhere permantently until you have go through menopause or get your uterus taken out...

Well, I'm afraid it is just one of those things you really do just have to get used to. Just consider the fact that this is going to happen to you every month without fail for possibly the next 40 years! Let's face it, we all probably agree it's not the nicest thing in the world but you really do just have to work around it. Always make sure that you are using the right size tampon for your flow otherwise it can be uncomfortable. Change it regularly, to help with your worries about leaking. Personally I live in dark blue and black clothes during my period in case of leaking, even though it almost never happens.
You're very lucky that you're regular and don't have a heavy flow - I hope it stays that way for you.
I can't tell you any good way of getting used to it, but the fact remains that you just have to. You and half the population of the world are all going through it!

I am 27 and I had the same issues when I was your age, it wasn't until I had my 2nd child that everything started making since & I finally got the hang of it. I would suggest you keep it on the calendar mark the day you start and count 28days from then that should be about the time you will sart again... as far as leaking if you wear tampons I would suggest doubling with a thin pantyliner just in case, to this day I still use this method and it works great

No, you don't have a choice of having a period or not. It's natural and good for your body. I started at 11 years old also, it's not too young. But maybe you could get tampons instead of pads. That way you don't leak and it is very easy to place sports (safely) with a tampon. It is something you will have to deal with for many many years so you have to be comfortable with your body. It'll get better. Give it time.

I have a similar problem, what I do is use both! and change at least every 2 hours (thats cuz Im heavy and even need to every hour sometimes) use a tampon and a pad just to be sure, and dont worry, no one knows you're on your period, just be confident and hold your chin up high. its all part of being a woman!!!
