Well, I can't go back 100 years but I can go back half that. And wish I could! Numbers keep getting higher, hair keeps getting grayer, skin getting wrinklier, knees crackle, butt bigger...aw, heck, why'd you ask? now i'm all depressed.

Did they celebrate Birthdays 100 years ago? If I knew someone who was 110 I could ask them.. But I don't, so this will have to do.
I know my Birthday has changed a lot since the first one I can remember.
It used to be a big deal for our family, when someone was having a birthday, presents, family & friends, and of course cake & ice cream.
Now at 44, I feel lucky to wake up, then want to stay in bed for a while, and am thrilled if someones offered to pay for my lunch.
I fear that by the time I am 54, people will be saying, " Oh, it was your birthday... well happy belated birthday"

As long as you follow the Julian calendar, birthdays are exactly the same every year. I think you need to be more specific in your question.

I do not quite understand your question, but if you are asking how they have changed, I would have to say they haven't changed. You get them every year you are alive, you know breathing, and walking, and talking. I am just elated I have one year when my birthday comes. I am proud of my age, and the way I take care of myself...........what? Iam sorry I did not hear you?........oh you asked me how old I was?.........................well I'm a young 55.

With each birthday you become one year older and care a little less about a party.

Birthdays seem to come abound a lot faster as you get older.
