Of course they do. The problem with gang-related crime is that very rarely can you ever find the person responsible. It also happened to be a drive-up shooting, which happens all the time where I'm from and rarely gets solved. It is unfortunate but it is proposterous to believe that the Government doesn't care about rappers.

No they do not care. You can tell by how the cases were mishandled by the police and other authorities. Orlando Anderson was the only suspect in the Tupac killing. (orlando was the one that got jumped at the casino) And he was NEVER questioned not once. They have witnesses that said he was the shooter, and guess what, he was NEVER named as a suspect. With the Biggie killing a detective lost his job because he figured out who did it and wanted to pursue the suspect, and they told him to drop it he refused and was forced to resign. Det. Poole is now doing his own investigations, however police refuse to look at his evidence. And to address what someone said above, no rappers should not get special treatment, no one deserves to get killed, however, they should at least try to find a killer for tupac and bigge but they won't and never will. Someone could confess and get a slap on the back and be told good work. The government is scared of the effects this rappers have on the children. Tupac spoke of things to enlighten people to the truth. the government didn't like it

Tupac was political, there were issues he touched and discussed that alot of people weren't willing too. I wouldn't say the same about Biggie or 50 Cent, but I do feel that if they weren't in the positions that they were or the people that they were, they probably would have found there killers and brought them to justice. They know who killed Tupac and Biggie but this is a world that is run by money not morals and also run by you know who and not ...... And this is for that person that rappers don't have real talent, you make up that that 10 % of people that think they don't have talent you need to research your record sales, cause there's alot of people who's actions say different, by buying the peoples albums that have no talent and making them go platinum.

The Government does not care about the rap industry. The reality of it all is like drugs, crime and anything that is input into a society to influence a negative aspects is welcomed. Back when rap was young it was more a threat with the Government with music and lyrics from groups like Public Enemy, N.W.A and Ice T. When rap was a unpredictable. You didn't know what the industry would talk about and that feared the Gov. Nowadays with the Yung Jezzy's and the T.I base there music towards the negative factor (drug distribution, disrespecting women and killing)it's more controlled.

well i would blame the police, in 2pacs case Las vegas police didnt want to work with LAPD cause they thought LAPD was too corrupt and would **** up thier case, and now they have no case. In biggies case, there is more then enough evidence to support taht an LAPD officer with ties to death row shot him, but there is without a doubt the fact that LAPD tried to derail the case and the lead detective of that case, the reason for that however is debatable.

Why should rappers get any more special treatment to find their killers than anyone else? There are thousands of unsolved murders -- especially in the situations where those guys get killed. Drive-by shootings or gang killings are not solved because no one is willing to talk. These guys were celebrities only because people were willing to pay for their product. It's not like they had any real talent.

Of course they care about rappers. Ted Kennedy is already proposing a special medicare benefit for rappers to be taken care of when they are elderly. If they start taxing all americans now, when rappers get up into their elderly years, there should be plenty of money regardless of social security being bankrupt.

Perhaps a better question would be do the rappers care enough about themselves and their children to stay away from the thug life?

The question should be Do rappers care about anyone other than themselves?

Yes they do care. It was just an unsolved case.
