There are rumours going arround that the walrus might be even more intelligent than the dolphin. Could this be true?

The only mammal that is smarter than Dolphins are humans, so i would say Dolphins.

I'm pretty sure that the dolphin is one of the most intelligent creatures alive. Walrus' cannot be all that intelligence. An animals intelligence is exhibited in its lifestyle and interaction with other species. In both these areas, dolphins are superior. So, I really don't think walrus' are more intelligent.

Killer whales, a type of porpoise are probably more intelligent than dolphins as are the great apes. Measuring intelligence is somewhat subjective and much more difficult for some animals. Grizzlies and Elephants are pretty bright as well. Walrus's do not have a niche that would necessitate great intelligence so I would doubt they would be as smart as a dolphin.

Whales and Dolphins are highly intelligent. The Sea Lion and Walrus aren't even close.

Well according to the Hitchhiker's Guide to the galaxy the dolphins are the 2nd smartest mammals on the face of the earth so I would think they would be smarter but I suppose it depends on how you measure intelligence.
