Check your fluid level in the clutch master cylinder. You more then likely have a bad slave cylinder or the clutch master has to be replaced. Top off the fluid and pump the pedal, see if that can at least get you to a shop without having to pay for a tow.

Check your brake fluid, you will probably find it low. You have air in the hydraulic clutch lines because either the clutch master cylinder or the slave cylinder are leaking. It's usually best to replace them at the same time but if you want to figure out which one is leaking then look in your floorboard for a liquid (yes, when it leaks it puts brake fluid right on your carpet!)...if it's wet, then it's the master leaking. If there is a small puddle on the pavement, it's the slave leaking. Like I said though...if one has gone, then the other probably isn't far behind. Replace the cylinders and bleed the clutch hydraulic system...problem gone.

As above, it sound like it the Clutch Hydraulic Reservoir. I think a person said brake fluid, he means clutch fluid and does give a good answer. Check your owner manual it should tell where and how to check this fluid level. It could be just normal loss, if, you have never checked. But, it needs topped up and now bleed the air out of the lines. Air what gives a spongy feel as it compresses under pressure. Hydraulic Fluid does not compress under pressure. This why it used for Clutch, Brake and Transmission Fluid. If, it does need fluid may slide a piece of cardboard under the Transmission when it parked and see if it leaking somewhere and how bad.
