Why are some others racist against Americans?
Its not just an American thing, its a human thing.
I think once upon a time someone in Japan stereotyped Americans as lazy and stupid.
I can only imagine what the Arabs say...
I think people are just mainly racist because its easier to blame an ethnic group for their problems rather than themselves.
Maybe someone worked at an auto plant that shut down and moved its operations to china because labor is cheap.
It's not China's fault but the fault is with the company. Then again, maybe it is also the union's fault for demanding gigantic salaries... Who knows?
So, for that man, it is easier to blame all chinese. Its wrong, but it is a reality here in America.
I'm sorry that someone was racist toward you. No matter the reason it was wrong.

Racism is not an inherently American trait. It has probably existed as long as different races of people have existed. But I believe all racism comes from ignorance. Ignorance leads to fear which can evolve into hatred. When people interact more and communicate I believe racism is reduced if not destroyed. In America we have many different races. This is an immigrant country. Unfortunately many of these different races do not interact directly very often and still do not understand each other and this leads to racism. With Asian immigrants the language barrier can be exceptionally hard to overcome.
I have also met several people of different races that after having had one or more bad experience with people of another specific race decide that they do not like anyone from that race. I believe that is a bad way to think as we should not hold one person accountable for another person's actions. But it happens. America has fought three wars in East Asia in the 20th century and this may affect how many Americans view Asians. I myself am glad that many Asian people respect and love American freedom and choose to come here to enjoy it.

i dont think all americans are racists in fact there are americans who have worked hard for removing racism in all sectors of life.no doubt there are people who may find it hard to accept people of a different races and cultures as equals but thats purely because thay are narrow minded and cynical. And by the way racists are there not only in america but all over the world.

The reason is because some Asians are racist with other races first, and you get what what you give. In other cases some people are just racist, period.
My wife is Asian/Philipino, and we discuss and see it alot.

look who is talking!!!!
Asian people are the must discriminatory people i know; you do not have a chance to mingle with their own; or tried to socialize with them. forget it!! they are tied nit race that do not want to share any of their
knowledge.(in my opinion very selfish)
my sister lives in San Francisco and i visit her occasionally; when i visited her last summer. ;we enjoyed going to the Golden Gate park for the oriental exercise. The
Asian people told my sister to buy the tape
do it at home ( in other words we were not welcome at their group to scud ) I have a picture of the group to prove it!! the lesson here is: Do not do on to others what you do not like to be done to you!!!! you see how it feels????
not very good ha!!!! . by the way do not blame an American for this message.

Traditional classical Americans, European immigrants are historically arrogant; and are increasingly becoming, well being relieved of their illusions of superiority.
So if you hate those who jepordize your superior thinking maybe they will go away. LOL
