I just got back from NO, and I was pretty amazed at how much devastation still remains after Katrina. How do you feel about nation building in Iraq when our OWN nation is still struggling?

judging by some of the reponses, I can tell who HASN'T seen NO lately...there are plenty of reasons to rebuild. GO SAINTS!

IT is one of the most un-American follow-ups to a national tragedy in the history of the United States, and I can think of no one in any leadership role who could actually hold their head high and accept any praise for their actions(or LACK of) It's absolutely PATHETIC, plain and simple

I feel when you build your home 14' under sea level you are going to flood. I do not want my tax dollars rebuilding in a flood zone. That fukn simple. If you believe in Global warming, which has stated the sea level will eventually rise another 30', why waste tax dollars?

The problem is similar....the responsibility for rebuilding NOLA is local...as is security for rebuilding Iraq....

NOLA needs to become a national park...there is no good reason for tax payers to throw away money rebuilding a city under sea level.
