Yeah, just get the clean version of the songs. Your dad is the one who bought you the Ipod anyway.

My dad let me do anything because he doesn't know how to use the ipod and he won't care. Tell him that you like these songs and you will hear them. If he doesn't let you put them on the ipod when he is not around. If he checks your ipod to see if there are any songs with foul language just change the songs names. I don't thing he will stay listening to them.

For crying-out-loud!! LISTEN TO YOUR DAD!! You don't sound very grown up, you know. There are plenty songs WITHOUT foul language that you can listen to. Haven't you ever heard of "Tough Love"? That means exactly what your dad is doing. He's trying to teach you the right way to live your life. Do YOU go around using foul language, and do your friends use it also. And - for a girl to want to listen to those songs, I'd "boot" her as a friend. Find someone who is more refined. Amen!!

There are some songs out there that are really not intended for young ears. But some songs just express a certain feeling that is going on. But don't get upset when your dad doesn't want you to put something like Akon I wanna love you...because its just degrating to women and maybe that's why he doesn't want you to put it on your ipod.

Listen to your Dad. He loves you and he's only telling you not to listen to those songs because he feels they're inappropriate. Parents do everything for their kids and it only very little that they ever ask in return so I don't think it is such a big deal.

Just keep the songs out. I you put them in and he finds out, you could loose your iPod. This is not a big thing.

You should listen to your dad; put yourself in his shoes. Would you like your daughter listening to degrading music? Not only that, but it makes one seem a bit dumb. I suggest finding something you like that is clean and sharing it with him, that way you guys can share something.

Sounds to me like your father loves you more than your Friends father loves her. It is always easier to let your child do as they please. Your dad is sacrificing popularity to keep you clean and wholesome. Kudos to Dad.
