Real Media wants $12.99 per month to play these videos for a course that I am taking. I have the DVDs, so it's not worth paying 4 months for the same thing. However, the same lectures are online, and it would be nice to play these videos on my computer from the online source in addition to my DVD.

Is there a free or cheaper altenative for playing the online .rm files?

I play .rm files with RealPlayer.


If you ARE using that, then I have no idea what you are doing wrong.

Try reinstalling RealPlayer and be sure to select the "FREE PLAYER" option when installing :
