What is a good source to find a talent agent in the midwest (Chicago, Detroit)?

I am an actor, vocalist, and public speaker looking for a chance to use these talents in entertainment and education. I hope to find a product marketing position by day and entertain at night.

Does anyone know a talent agency or web site that is NOT a rip-off?

Most bookstores (and many newstands) carry the publications "Audition News" and "PerformInk". Both of these feature, in addition to news of interest to the local performing arts community, listings for talent agencies. Contrary to popular belief, not ALL non-NY agencies are scams. There are more professional theatres in Chicago than Detroit, however, so your odds of finding a legitimate one are greater there.
