It's literally 2 degrees outside, might be colder with wind chill. My car has not been driven all weekend. I try to start it and it won't turn over. I pump the gas and it sounds like it will start but it just can't turn completely over. What should I expect?? Is something damaged or is it simply because its just freezing out. I tried to jump start it but that did not work.

Also, I have a little bit less than half of a tank of gas in it.

Definitely sounds like a battery problem, turn on the head lights and walk around to the front of the car. My bet is that they will be real dim...

2 degrees is putting a lot of work on the battery to turn over a cold engine. Check all of your battery connections to make sure nothing is loose or corroded. Sometimes taking a battery inside and let it warm up and then reinstall the battery and then try to jump start the engine may help. The worst case is that your starter may be going bad or a bad connection on your starter. If your battery is getting some age on it then you might want to check into getting a new battery. Good luck.

try taking the battery out and bringing it inside where it is warm. also next time you get weather like that try putting a light bulb under the hood near the battery but not to close as you do not want it get really hot. and also try covering the hood with blankets perferably right down to the ground to try to cut down on the wind getting through

-2 Cº!!! of course is becouse your car is frozen, like ice, even if the sistem works, the gasoline must be frozen all, what you can do is move it inside the garage(if you have one).

It could be: fuel pump, fuel sending unit, starter, ignition switch. most likely the fuel pump though!
