Get to the doctor ASAP, and get an ultrasound. Not to scare you, but that happened to me.

You could request one, but no matter what you find out from an ultrasound, there is nothing you could do.
Sometimes you can have light spotting and it is ok, sometimes it is what happens before a miscarriage.
If it is a miscarriage, and you started spotting, the process has already started and there is nothing that could be done. The first 3 months are the most likely for a miscarriage. I really don't want to sound harsh, but when I had my miscarriage, someone told me that if the baby had something wrong with it, like its heart or some other severe abnormality, it is just natures way of handling it.
I hope all goes well for you. The best you can do is not stress out and not exert yourself.

I was spotting light brown at 11 weeks and went in to see the doctor the first appointment I could get. They did tons of tests and tried to find the heartbeat with the doppler. She had a hard time finding the heartbeat so she scheduled me for an ultrasound. The baby was fine and they couldn't figure out why I was spotting. It lasted about 6 days. Very scary. You did the right thing by calling your doctor and getting an appointment. Only they'll be able to tell you if it's "normal" and exactly what's going on with you. Best wishes!

You should go to your doctor and have the recommended blood test there are certian things that show up on the blood test. At this early the ultrasound may just show a heart beat and sometime it is quite hard to find the baby as it is so small. Do the blood test and put your feet up and take it easy just to be on the safe side. Unfortunately they may not be sure if you are having a miscarriage until it happens. But see your doctor depending they may want to put you in hospital to be on the safe side. Good luck

I would request one. I dont want to worry you but i spotted brown blood at 7 weeks no pain at all. then at 8 weeks i miscarried.
I have heard that you can spot at around that time , but to be sure ask for ultrasound cause the worrying will do no good. I spotted for a week before anyone took me serious , 3 different doctors said it was normal. Even on the day i miscarried i had an internal and was told everything was looking great and then a few hours later it happened.
I hope it different for you and i dont want to put bad thoughts in your head as we are all different but get it checked out.
Good luck.

An ultrasound may or may not give any real details as to the status of the baby. Honestly, the only thing you can do is wait and see. I had spotting with 2 of my children throughout the entire pregnancy. I also had 2 miscarriages. Don't stress, it's not healthy. If it is meant to be, it is meant to be. I know it sounds harsh, but it is reality. Just relax and take care of yourself and pray for the a healthy pregnancy.

They would do an ultrasound if your hormone levels come back low. Sounds like he's being good to take precautions with you due to your history.
however, spotting at this point in your pregnancy, even period like cramps as well, are perfectly normal. Women can have miscarriages with them, but it doesnt make those symtoms a threat, since you can miscarry without any warning at all.
At this point, wait until your appointments, (obviously go straight to the ER if you're bleeding and passing clots), and try to remain calm. Stress will only make the environment less conducive to the survival of your baby.

that's rather known. I had brown and pink recognizing from 4 weeks to the top of the 1st trimester. Had scans achieved to confirm each thing exchange into ok, whether the well being care provider informed me it wasn't going to final and that i'll miscarry. I have been given a 2d opinion and in certainty found out that 25% of all women have this for the time of being pregnant without issues. some even have bleeding throughout the time of it and nonetheless have healthful toddlers. do not hardship approximately it, yet once you initiate bleeding or get intense abdomen discomfort then bypass to the medical institution.

Request whatever you want, doc can either grant it or vito it, but you donno unless you ask!
Did you have sex recently? Sex can cause spotting (slight trama to the cervix which is very thick and full of blood right now) you could have polyps or fibroids too. Can be just a hormonal thing. Can be anything. Doesn't necessarily mean miscarriage. Doesn't mean it isn't either though... and there's nothing unfortunately they can do to stop it if you are going to.. not that you'd want to anyway. A miscarriage this early means severe defect that the baby wont survive anyway.
Best of luck to you

I did the same thing...I was told that brownish looking blood is usually implantnation bleeding. I was told to only worry if it was a bright red. An ultrasound won't be able to tell you if you are miscarrying...hang in there for the blood test results.
