I believe death is. Because death is final. When it comes to defeat, you can always try try again until the defeat becomes a victory

Neither, really. However;

Defeat is inevitable, yet can be recalled. Like a gold medal.

Death is inevitable, and cannot be recalled. Unless you are in a Stephen King novel.

So I suppose death would be worse because at least with defeat there is a chance you still might win. With death, you are just dead.

Death is worse, because if you are defeated once in your life, then you still have much room for victory. If you are dead, there is only defeat and no victory.
