As a matter of fact I heard Bush say that there were gonna be dark days ahead when it first started. Good days and bad days. Bush being impeached is about as realistic as you getting struck by lightning today...

Again the war is not going badly. There has been some problems with the insergents but the war has been a success overall. Ask a vet that has just come back from there. The only people that think th ewar is going badly is the media and the democratic party. And that is because they want power. They want to run and control the country and the War is the ONLY thing they can attack. Domectically the nation is at an all time high. Lowest unemployment, highest wages, greatest number of new home buyers, and for the moment the lowest levels of income taxes since Kennedy was President.
The only reason why the war is going badly is because the media and the democrats tell you it is. Do not believe them.

The public doens't need to know the absolute truth of everything at all times.
It protects our war fighters when we keep war details a secret. People might complain and moan, but I don't mind at all. If I'm ignorant of a few details about the war, and it saves one soldier's life, then i'm glad they kept the details a secret.
Whatever your political stance is, you should want the soldiers to be safe during a time of war. If you don't like the war, then protest, but if our president won't take us out of war, then please don't get mad about not always knowing EXACTLY what's going on over there. It's secretive because it protects the soldiers who are fighting for you.

Why did it take a speech from the president for you to know it was going badly? We've only had that fact pounded into our heads 24/7 by every media outlet for the last two years.

Sad to say, the American people have continuously been lied to since before and during this war.
I'm with you, more lies will be revealed and we will also be lied to as this "surge" unfolds. We will be told the surge is working and going well, etc. Only later will truth come out.
