I don't think recognition by airline companies makes any difference....it all depends on what level of pilot's license you're shooting for....as long as it's a certified flight school.
Just be sure to get your physical SOON...before you take a few lessons and find out that your on a medication that will exclude you from getting a license. Nothing like wasteing a thousand dollars that way!

I would contact commerical airline pilots and ask them were they learned to fly. Many commerical airline pilots were former air force pilots fly large transport planes. The air force is the most affordable way to learn how to fly.

The US Navy, and the US Air Force have very good flight schools, and they pay you to go to them.
