The mean involves adding up all the numbers and then dividing by how many numbers there are.
E.g. 2 + 3 + 3 + 4 + 5 = 17/ 5 = 3.4

Mode equals most frequent. E.g. using the example above the mode would be 3 as it appears twice as opposed to the other numbers which only appear once.

And median involves putting all the numbers in numerical order and whatever one is in the middle is the median. In our example 3 is the median. If however you have an equal number of numbers (say 6) than what you do is add up the middle numbers and divide by 2.
E.g. 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7. In this instance you would do 4 + 5 = 9 divide by 2 = 4.5

its how to work out the average
i know the methods

u get all the numbers and add them together then divide by the amount of numbers in the first place

the other one is to do
1 3 5 6 7 8 9 23
then u cross out the 1 and 23
so ur left with 3 5 6 7 8 9
then ur left with 5 6 7 8
then 6 7
then the answer is 6.5

the other way is just the most common number i think.

hope this has helped:):)

Mean of a set of values for a given quantity is obtained by adding all the values and dividing the sum by their number.This is also called Arithmatic Mean or Average. There are other types of means as well. For example: Geometric Mean, Harmonic Mean, Weighted Mean etc.

Mode of a set of values for a given quantity is the value which occurs most frequently. If you plot a graph between the given values and their frequencies then the value which corresponds to the maxima of the graph is the Mode.

Median of a set of values for a given quantity is obtained as below: Arrange all the values in the ascending or descending order. If the number of values is odd, then the one at the centre is the mode. It has equal numbers of the values larger and smaller than it. If the number of values is even, then the average of the two values in the middle is the median.

mode = most frequent number
median = middle number

mean is more like the average...
mode is the most ommon or the most numbered/with the greatest frequency
median is the middle value...

this is basic statistics!
