I was supposed to get my period on January 13 and didn't. I would really like to go and relax in the tanning bed (yes, yes, I've read all the warnings, I don't go everyday, maybe 2 a month if that and I know that's still not great) Has anyone read any studies or heard anything about tanning and early pregnancy...I might not even be pregnant! Thanks so much!

The whole time I was pregnant I didn't go to the tanning bed. I would just lay out, but my doctor did say it was okay for me to tan. I know someone that tanned the whole time during her pregnancy. Doctors are different though, so find out if you are then ask your doc.

I got in the tanning bed when I was only a few weeks pregnant, but didn't know I was pregnant yet. It made me SO sick. I had to get out. I found out about a week later I was pregnant.

Tanning during pregnancy is not safe. Go get a home pregnancy test and see if you are or not.

You need to see if you are pregnant first. The UV light from the tanning bed can cause birth defects and other problems. See, UV rays destroy DNA to the point it can't be repaired.

You need to find out for sure before you go in. Even going once can cause damage, especially in the first trimester.
