i want to help my hubby in making our children's future brighter but i'm afraid i have to stay with the kids,i want to start a small business though,but i don't know where to begin and how to start.

You do have options. There are many home based businesses that you can start as a stay at home mom. There are all the various party plan type businesses, but that does require spending some time away from home. There are businesses where you create a product and ship from home (gift baskets for example). And there are Internet businesses that you can work strictly from home. Start up costs for all of these are minimal and you can work at your own pace.
I love web businesses for a work at home mom because you can build it slowly and it doesn't matter that the kids are underfoot. You can walk away from it and return at any time to continue. The options are endless. What do you love to do in your spare time (if you ever have any!). What are your hobbies and interests? What are your skills? Find a niche and off you go. Do a Yahoo search for this term and you will find a one stop site with tons of resources and ideas for all sorts of home based businesses:

If you have any typing skills, there are doctor's offices who always need medical transcribers. Can you sew? Sing, play a musical instrument? Want to establish care for additional children? tutor? There are many websites that provide 'inhome' financial opportunities - but BEWARE of those which ask you for MONEY first.
