Only on Friday nights, I have this bill collector who calls me faithfully every Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. I have asked him politely not to call at this time, I have cursed him out and to no avial the S.O.B. still calls so I leave the phone of the hook! HA HA

I only turn off one phone in the night, and that's my cell phone.

I don't turn them off at night because that is typically when you get 'bad news'. I would never be able to live myself if something happened to someone I love and I had my phone off!
I do however utilize caller id & my answering machine to screen calls - after 8 p.m., if it isn't an emergency, I'll talk to you tomorrow.

No. We're really worried about in case there's a family emergency, and also sometimes there's a problem at work and my husband gets phone calls and I volunteer with the Domestic Abuse hotline in town and as the flyers say "Violence doesn't sleep"
