Alright, so heres the story.. I was suppose to get my period on Dec. 13th. Its now.. Jan. 15th. I took a test about two weeks after my missed period..actually no i took FIVE tests after my missed period. All 5 of them came up postive.. i made an appt. at my doctor, he did a blood test, the test came back negative. But im very confused because not only did 5 home tests come up positive but my breats are EXTREMLY sore to the touch and i have a few smaller sympoms of pregnany , like back pain and headaches. Today when i was getting in the shower, i had a VERY small amount of milk or some kind of fluid that was a clear/white color. I have a 4 year old and milk came very early when i was preg. with him. I have an apt on thursday to see my doc. But isnt the blood test 100% accurate???? IM SO CONFUSED!!! AM I PREGNANT OR NOT!? HELP!

Blood tests are the most accurate. It also depends on when you received the blood test. Symptoms of morning sickness? Have you ever had a test show negative? I have heard that there can be a positive test when your not pregnant and this may be caused by an underlying condition. (don't hold me to that because I can't remember where I heard that) Have you tried only the same test? Just some things to think about. Definitely get checked out again. I have 2 children..the first I was nervous an had this feeling...since we weren't ready...but the second we were testing and testing trying to conceive. The first time I did have a blood test to confirm. The doctor told me that chances are if I had two positive tests I was probably pregnant...but did the test to confirm. Perhaps you might get a second opinion if you feel your doctor is not being thorough. I know this time of waiting is unnerving! I have two children and whether you are wanting to be pregnant or not... it is never fast enough. Waiting stinks. Good luck to you!

That is very confusing because home pregnancy tests do not provide false positive results. They can provide false negative ones but not false positive. That is interesting that your doctor gave you a blood test- I haven't heard of doctors doing that.
At this point, your best bet is to get an ultrasound done at your next OB appt.

You could be, my sister in law was 3 months before her Dr would believe that she was pregnant. Then it was through an ultrasound, not a pg test that it was confirmed. For some weird reason this does happen, seldomly, yes, but it does happen. When you go back ask them to do an HCG count on you not just a pg test. There might be an answer there.

I would go back to your doctor. If you had 5 positive tests, you are preg. You can't get a false positive. Hormones are either there or they aren't.

Calm down. Talk to your doctor. But I don't believe in any way, shape or form if you are only a few weeks pregnant that your milk is coming in.
