Is he smarter, but less stable than he seems?

2007-01-15 01:23:09 · 24 answers · asked by Anonymous in Politics & Government Politics

I’ve always attributed his buffoonery and incompetence to a combination of stupidity + arrogance + power. But, maybe he is just nuts.

Is there no defeat or setback large enough to satisfy his lust for failure?

Does he want to destroy America all by himself?

It doesn't matter if the leader of the most powerful nation on earth is insane?

And, yes, there are constitutional means to make him not the 'legal' president.

I wish that everyone with brains was given the same educational opportunities as Bush.

It is because the most consistent trait of Bush’s personality throughout his entire life has been intellectual laziness and the avoidance of learning that he has done so much damage to America (and, in fact, most every nation on earth).

I do not hate Bush because he is stupid and, likely, insane.

I hate him because he is stupid and, likely, insane – and President of the most powerful nation in the history of mankind.

You know SR, I suspect that Bush was always only a bully from -a- distance (just as he has been as president), or a bully when the odds were completely stacked in his favor.

My bet is that Bush always went down on the first punch, or would have if others had not been around to protect him.

Bush was probably more like the little guy always behind the bully, encouraging the bully to beat someone up (sort of role-reversal of the Blair-Bush relationship).

I agree with almost every bit of that (mostly because you sound like me), but don’t feel sorry for him. He is one of those people incapable of feeling anything for anyone other than themselves. The is no humanity behind the curtain.

Well a straight forward question deserves a straight forward answer.. and that is YES.

He is joined by that megalomaniac in Downing street. I think you would have noticed his increasingly desperate speeches which are meant to solidify his legacy. Fact is both these people are Masonic in their approach and their evangelism is lost on many a good person's ear.

It would be very interesting how a psychiatrist would analyze him. From my life experience I would say that he is a product of a rich and powerful family who has been personally insulated from the common people (and reality) and just cannot identify with anybody out of his group. He is arrogant, stubborn, self centered, self serving and has an unrealistic sense of entitlement. He is an example of a "poor little rich boy". Deep down I really feel sorry for him as a human being. But...... he also scares the hell out of me as a leader.

I think he's arrogant because he's insecure and tries to hide that through false arrogance. It's obvious that he has a great deal of insecurities, especially when it comes to questioning things. Many people have that problem, though, not just the President.

Oh - what a lovely question. A direct request for adjectives describing GWB!!!!

I don't believe he is insane. I see him as a self-important, egotistical and arrogant little man. He was probably a bully in school. His smarmy and sarcastic responses to reporters in press conferences tell me that he lacks respect for many - many who are far more intelligent than himself. And instead of recognizing their intelligence, he attempts to belittle and embarass. What a great, inspiring leader!

I think he just wants to kill innocent people, but dosn't want to be part of it. He's playing both sides, he's both retarded and smart at the same time (if you know what i mean).

So what ? How does that matter ? After all, the constitution does not say any presidential hopeful must be sane, does it ? He is quite legal, if you ask me.
