hello,
I would like you to give me your opinion.
On Saturday I bought a mobile with a Mobile World chip.
The salesman explained me that there was a free option which provided free calls from my landline. I asked him to explain me the reason why it was free of charge but after 3 explanations I think I did not understand unfortunately.
Could you please explain me because I have 15 days left to say no to this option. Is it really free? Actually, for my landline I have a contract with BT.
Thank you for you help.
My question may seem to be ridiculous but I have been in England for one week...

Thank you very much

Lyly

I need to warn you, Talk Talk are great at selling but because their offer is so good they cannot keep up with it. They have been investigated by Watchdog (a consumer advice programme, BBC.co.uk then link to watchdog)

Yes, you are supposed to get all your land line calls free within UK BUT, that's if they can stick to the agreed date they give you....which is HIGHLY UNLIKELY. We were left without a land line for two months, also my son was without for several weeks despite giving them 3 weeks notice before installation!

Please, before you do anything check out Watchdog on line.

You should also remember that they have no infrastructure should things go wrong. In fact they rely only on BT engineers as they have none of their own.

They will keep telling you they're working on setting you up, but that's rarely true!

I would be extremely wary. We've now gone back to BT and I wish we'd never left.

i wouldnt trust talk talk. I saw them on a programme called watchdog on the bbc which is broadcast for us viewers to warn us about company scams and complaints. Talk talk were on it and i wasnt impressed. It was for an offer for broadband which they said was free and no one could get in touch with them to get it and when they did it was all a con!! I would stick to BT, ring them up and tell them the offer you have had from talk talk they may be albe to match it for you. Its worth a try and if they can it will save you a lot of time and you wont have to change your phone line. Good Luck!

Talk Talk?!! I can't give you my honest opinion as I'm sure someone would report me for abuse, but I have spent several hours getting frustrated beyond words listening to Something in the Air by Thunderclap Newman and can still only get on the internet when it feels like conntecting, not when i want to access it. And I'm tied into this rubbish deal til the end of the year, so no, I'm not a big fan of talk talk....
