One problem with Newgate was the corruption is it fair people should get rich from crime. I think you should be allowed your rights in prison not allowing them makes you feel more marginalised.
I think in prison you should be allowed the basics: wholesome food (cabbage and potato) nothing fancy (toast choco pops tea chicken kievs)
Nor things like television, newspapers maybe because being aware of outside events is important. However carpeted cells and three duvets lie ins and not doing anything all day is not great prisoners should be given a chance to reform by offering a chane to complete education or form in a trade perhaps they could also learn the impact their action has had on their victim as well as on society. The should also undertake voluntary work that alows them no or limited contact with society. They should also do hard work for no reward.

No they don't, but with this Government I suspect it won't be long before they claim it as yet another one of their human rights. Let's face it, we really musn't infringe their rights must we. Some of them after all have only taken a loved one from a family, raped a child, stolen, and attacked an elderly person, robbed a bank, shall I go on.....We wouldn't want to make their lives any more difficult, after all they only have a warm place to stay 24hrs a day, television (with satellite), a fully equipped gym, three hot meals a day and so on and so forth. Poor Loves I really feel for them. I hope they never get out let alone a vote. Personal opinion!!

dosn't EVERY prisoner say they are innocent? Of course they should not have any rights at all, they should be able to earn priveleges by good behaviour, going to prison work etc but just as easily taken away from them if they misbehave. Most of these people have never had any discipline intheir lives, just a parent/carer saying "yes" for the easy life...
As with small children, trust and benefits need to be earned so as you prove you can be trusted you are treated with more adult responsibility and priviledges.
So, no to them voting

No, they continuously were BONKERS. implementing regulations which let prisoners to vote for a social gathering that is in favour of shorter sentences for paedophile killers operating example , is organic low intelligence; there is no incorrect thanks to interpret it . they in simple terms do not take the human rights of the grieving households into interest -- to three it may seem puzzling to believe that very low intelligence human beings can get to correct political positions. The Human Rights regulations were written by technique of idiots of low intelligence in correct political positions.

Prisoner's get a free bed, free food and a free roof over their head. The things that ordinary people only get through hard-work. And they get it all at tax payers cost. No they shouldn't have the right to vote, as far as I am concerned, when your in prison you shouldn't have any human rights.
